I was on one of those “girl” themed free-to-play game websites. I came across some sort of spooky Halloween themed scenery decoration game and decided to play that. At some point I unlocked a Shrek easter egg or something (…by setting up two empty tents? I too, see no connection). Then I saw a hint of ogre green flit by on the game. Lo and behold, a 3D-rendered cutscene of Shrek going hog wild and building a castle played before me on the screen. I checked the comments section; it was full of Shrek memes. The top rated comment read, “Now I know why Shrek built that castle.”
